JSA Welcome 2022
On behalf of the Junior School Auxiliary, I’d like to thank our existing parents for their ongoing support and welcome all the new parents to our school. My name is Michelle Read and I’m the President of the Junior School Auxiliary for 2022, and I hope the information below will help you set up for this year.
The JSA exists to enhance and support your boys as they move through the Junior School. Our focus has been, and will continue to be, on COMMUNITY, EVENTS and FUNDRAISING. The JSA provides a calendar of opportunities throughout the school year for parents to come together with your boys at events such as our Welcome Event – Movie Under the Stars, and to be in involved in special days for the boys like Pizza, Burger and Gelato Day’s and Mother’s and Father’s Day stalls, as well as providing an opportunity for the boys to ‘give back’ by fundraising for children less fortunate than themselves. Regrettably over the past two years our calendar of events has been heavily restricted, and while we hope this year will allow more engagement with the school, we remain guided by health regulations.
Any money we do raise throughout the year is circulated back into the school community to provide additional items to assist or enhance the school environment. Some recent examples are the name visors for your cars, our contribution to the school’s Green Patch initiative in the Junior School for the boys and the funding of specialised wheelchairs for Wheelchair Sports NSW, to allow young wheelchair users to participate and try wheelchair sports such as tennis, basketball and rugby.

Finally, we would value any help or assistance from you throughout the year, by way of volunteering at some of the events for the boys, or by providing assistance if you have, or work for, a business that can support us in any way. In the past we have had parent assistance with the discounted supply of chocolates, and another with books for the Mother’s and Father’s Day stalls, another parent in the catering business.
